QMU offer a number of scholarships and awards, throughout the year - to students, graduates and staff members.
There are also a number of other prizes and awards that are promoted throughout the year through internal channels (moderator and plasma screens).

Opportunities for Students
StudentÌýand Vice-Chancellor's Development Fund
The Student and Vice-Chancellor’s Development Fund is open to all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students of QMU. The fund supports:
- student led projects, initiatives and activities which are UK based and can be demonstrated to have a positive benefit to the applicant, the University or the local community;
- costs associated with travel abroad to study or take part in exchange programmes, broadening our students’ horizons.
Santander Universities Community Awards Fund
The Santander Universities Community Fund is open to all Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) students of QMU who volunteer with a local charitable organisation. Applicants are able to apply for funding of £500 towards their charity in order to support their activities.

Santander Universities Funding
Santander Universities Funding is open to all Undergraduate (UG)Ìýand Postgraduate (PG) students and all staff of QMU. The fund supports research or study opportunities proposed by students as part of their programme of study or by staff in their area of expertise. It can also be used to help with the costs of attending and presenting at international conferences.

Opportunities for Students and Graduates
Santander Universities Internships
The Santander Universities Internship Programme is open to all Undergraduate (UG)Ìýand Postgraduate (PG) students as well as all graduates of QMU. We offer a variety of paid three-month, full-time internships and four-week, full-time work-placements with SMEs (small to medium-sized enterprises).
These internships offer students and graduates the chance to gain valuable experience in the workplace, to work on live projects, and put theoretical knowledge into practice. Previous internships have been in the areas of marketing, events, business and healthcare.
