Formal Opening of Clermiston Campus June 1971

Originally purchased by our predecessor institution for use as a sports ground, our Clermiston Campus opened in 1970*.

The formal opening took place on 25 June 1971, officiated by Secretary of State for Scotland, Gordon Campbell.

In the 1960s-1970s, the college updated and expanded its course provision to meet the changing needs of society, in an age when the higher education sector was growing. The Clermiston site is now used for private housing.
