What has been the highlight of your time at QMU so far?

I am really enjoying being part of a university with such a vibrant community, which is a contrast to my undergraduate which I completed being completely remote. I really like that there are so many options for students to meet people, and Maggie's is a great spot for students and non-students alike. I think my highlight has been the live seminars where we can spend time with the tutors and other students on the course.

What is one thing you wish you knew before coming to university at QMU?

Having a disability, I was concerned that I would be at a disadvantage, but I can confirm that QMU have gone above and beyond with their support and the whole building is well set out and extremely accessible. There was support at every stage of the process when it came to planning how to make the studies work with my health difficulties.

What is your favourite thing about being an ambassador for QMU?

I am new to the role, but I am looking forward to having the chance to chat to prospective students and particularly anyone who wants to make it happen but feels like they couldn’t make it work alongside any commitments/barriers they face.
